Timeline Planning Session

We will hold a planning session with Dr. Bill Wright on Tuesday April 14, 2009. This will be held at the Chamber of Commerce conference room and will begin at 1:00 pm. This will be open to the public.

Our Consultant

Our committee has hired Dr. William Wright from NAU to begin our feasibility study.

We received a funding grant from Dr. Linda O?Dell the Gila County School superintendant for the first stage of our study. We are still speaking with the State Legislature to gain additional funding for these studies.

Calender Event

The Co-Chairs for the Globe-Miami Consolidation Review Commitee will be addressing the Miami Unified School District Board at the School Board Meeting in the High School Library. This meeting begins at 6:30pm all who would like to attend this meeting to show their support for the feasibility study are welcome.

Town Hall Meeting

Thank you to all that attended our first Town Hall Meeting hosted by the Globe-Miami Consolidation Review Committee. We had nearly 50 people in attendace including Senator Silvia Allen. This meeting brought to light some of the communities areas of concern with consolidating the school districts. These were in areas such as: transportation, cirriculum, the time line for consolidation, where will the funding come from, as well as questions about the new administration. All of the comments and questions from this meeting will be taken back to the Excutive Board for the Review Committee and will be addressed as the feasibility study moves forward.
